It is often our nature to reach for a prescription bottle when we feel the pressures of our daily lives closing in. While medications can be beneficial, you can also take steps to eat healing foods that naturally restore your body and mind to their peak levels. Studies of depression have revealed that one contributing factor to this disorder is low levels of folic acid in the body. It can be found naturally in foods such as asparagus, as well as leafy green vegetables, fruits, dried beans, and peas.
Every individual has a unique metabolism and responds differently to medications, supplements, and nutrients obtained through eating healthy foods.
